There are places where the wind is not content to blow.
He sculpts, shapes, elevates.
The Dune du Pilat belongs to these rare spaces,
where the air becomes a playground, and the sand a springboard to weightlessness.
For a week, with the team of Espace 3D, Annecy paragliding school,
We have tasted this magic.
A parenthesis suspended between sky and ocean,
where each gust was an invitation to rise,
and each moment shared a moment of eternity.
Pierre and Léo, our instructors,
have been able to combine rigour and good humour with a rare talent.
Their reassuring presence, their mastery of the frame,
and their contagious passion have made each flight a rich and confident learning experience.
Safety was not an obstacle, but a promise: to fly even freer.
And then there were the ritual phrases.
Each time the plane passed, Pierre looked up and said, his eyes as clear as the altitude:
“Alpha Jet.”
And when the sails were folded, and the weary bodies found dry land,
Leo offered us his signal to rest with this voice that smelled of the end of the day:
“The bar is open. I repeat: the bar is open! »
The kind of detail that welds a group together, engraves an era, and makes you smile long after.
Soaring at the Dune is a unique experience.
To hover for hours, to brush against the ridge, to dance with the invisible,
and to understand, in a breath, what the finesse of refined driving really is.
And what about the wagas in the dunes ?
This slightly wild freedom, this fusion between technique and acting,
marked us all forever.
But beyond the flights, it is the atmosphere that still resonates.
Laughter in the evening, barefoot in the sand,
advice exchanged on the fly,
the knowing looks when the wind picks up and everything becomes possible.
A huge thank you to Marie-Laure, Séverine,
and to the entire Espace 3D team for the logistics, the organization, the passion and the energy deployed behind the scenes.
It is thanks to you that this kind of week exists. And that it is engraved.
I took a few shots — not to freeze the moment,
But to better remember what we shared:
the light on the dune, the flight of a friend in the distance,
and this simple joy of being there, together, carried by the same breath.
Thank you to all of you. Thanks to the dune.
Thank you to this wind that brings us together and reveals us.
Pilat is not just a training camp.
It’s a piece of the soul.
And now there’s a trace of each of us, out there,
engraved in the sand… and in the sky.
